Russell L. Barnes, age 73, of 2582 Lynden Birch Bay Rd, Custer, passed away in Ferndale Sat July 26. He was a lifetime resident of Whatcom County. He loved to give to charity. Survivors include 2 sisters-in-law, Thelma Barnes of Bellingham, Gladys Barnes of Bellingham numerous nieces & nephews, Frank A. and wife Betty Barnes of Custer, Agnes Lee of Bellingham, George and wife Gloria Barnes of Ferndale, Don and wife Dorothy Barney of Olympia, Laurel and husband Mike Braroe of Olympia, Don and wife Linda Eastman of Olympia, numerous great nephews, nieces and other relatives. Graveside services will be held Tues, July 29, 1 pm at Enterprise Cemetery, Pastor Ralph Poulson officiating.
