Elwood Day Whiteford
The funeral of Elwood Day Whiteford whose death was announced last week was held on Friday, March 1st, services in Slate Ridge Church, conducted by Rev. A.L. Hyde, assisted by Rev. Carroll Maddox. Interment in Slate Ridge cemetery.
Mr. Whiteford was son of George W. Day, Trenton N.J., and was the adopted son of his aunt, Mrs. Margaret Whiteford. He is survived by his wife, Mrs. Martha Dooley Whiteford, and two sons. Also by his father, George W. Day, and the following brothers and sisters: Frank, Washington, Mrs. William A. McCoy, Baltimore, Mrs. Pearl Almendinger, Philadelphia, Mrs. S.J. McConkey and Mrs. Myrtle Ellis, Prospect, Md., Mrs. Oliver A. Scarborough, Slate Hill, Pa.
