She was a nanny to the Schmitt and Monier families for many years.
Survivors include her devoted nephew, Herman (JoAnn) Fowler, Jr.; two sisters-in-law, Valerie Fowler and Willie Mae Fowler; a host of nieces, nephews, many friends and her very special great-niece, Corina Fowler.
In addition to her parents, Gladys was preceded in death by her husband, Gene Adams; eight brother, William, Lucius, Waymond, Cleveland, Reed, Henry, Andy, and Herman, and one sister, Annie B. Chambers.
Funeral services will be held at 11:00 a.m. Wednesday, May 14, 2003 at James Funeral Service. Visitation will be from 10:00 a.m. to 11:00 a.m. at the funeral home. Burial will be in Spring Lake Cemetery.
