Funeral services for Jason Isane of Badger will be held on Saturday, August 6th at 11 AM at Faith Lutheran Church in rural Badger, MN. Visitation will be on Friday from 5-8 PM with an 8:00 prayer service at Helgeson Funeral Home in Roseau. Interment will be at the Nannestad Cemetery.

Jason P. Isane passed away on August 2, 2011 at his home in rural Badger, MN after a brave, hard-fought, five month battle with cancer at the age of 41.

Jason was born on December 30, 1969 in Roseau, MN to Marlene (Thompson) and Arne Isane. Jason was raised and lived in rural Badger, Nereson Township his entire life. He attended and graduated from Badger High School in 1988. He attended the University of Minnesota-Crookston for the fall-winter quarters for 3 years and returning to the farm in the spring.

Jason married Julie Sikorski on July 13, 1996 at Our Redeemer's Lutheran Church in Badger. Jason farmed with his dad and brothers, Shayne and Jamie; and also helped operate their trucking business. While he liked the farm, his passion was driving truck. He traveled cross-country for a few years, but he then stayed closer to home as he started a family.

Jason was a friend to everyone and had a true "gift of gab." He made time for everyone. His love for family was always evident as he was always so proud of them. He also had a love for the Minnesota Twins, which he instilled in Julie and the kids. They watched nearly every game and attended quite a few over the years.

Jason is survived by his wife, Julie of Badger; children, Isaak, Tyler, and Jenessa all of Badger; parents, Arne and Marlene Isane of Badger; siblings, Shayne (Denise) of Badger, Kari (Matt) Millner of Roseau, and Jamie (Tina) of Badger; grandmother, Elsie Thompson of Roseau; and nieces & nephews, Devyn, Danielle, Madison, Conner, Elliott, Emmitt, Daron and Billie. He was preceded in death by his grandparents, Sigurd, Anna and Lyle.

In lieu of flowers, memorials are preferred to the American Cancer Society's Hope Lodge of the Twin Cities; 2500 University Ave. SE, Minneapolis, MN 55414
