She was the daughter of Daniel J. Doherty and Mary Dowd both born in Ireland. Maggie lived in St John with her husband Frank and children. She was living on Annette St in Toronto in the 1920'and attended St. Cecilia, Catholic Church. After her husband's death she moved to Detroit to be closer to her children. When she died her body was brought back to Toronto to be buried by her husband.
