Mrs. Hazel J. Miles, 82, of Florence, passed away Monday Aug. 1, 2011, at her residence after an extended illness. The funeral service will be at 11 a.m. today, Wednesday, Aug. 3, 2011, in Greenview Memorial Chapel, with Jerry Campbell officiating. Internment will be in Bethel Berry Church of Christ Cemetery.
Mrs. Miles was born in Lauderdale County, was a homemaker and member of Bethel Berry Church of Christ.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Dalton Miles; parents, Jimmy and Effie Wooten; grandparents, Huston and Mammie Jones and Rhylie and Fannie Wooten; brothers, Roy Wooten and Carl Wooten; and son-in-law, Larry McKelvey.
Survivors are her son, Johnny D. Miles; daughter, Judy A. McKelvey; brother, Billy Wooten; grandchildren, Jamie Miles, Kelly Miles, Angela Bogus, Donna Montgomery and Tina McKelvey; great-grandchildren, Cody Bogus, Dustin Bogus and Brittany McKelvey, all of Florence.
Pallbearers will be Thomas Wooten, Dwight Wooten, Jason Brown, Tommy Brown, Larry Miles and Ricky McKelvey. Honorary pallbearers will be Grady Stutts, Dale Davis and Drake Davis.
The family wishes to thank the staff of Alacare Home Health and Hospice for the care given to Mrs. Miles during her illness.
