The funeral was Monday at 10 in Queen of the Most Holyrosary Catholic Church, Stanley, for Mrs. Joe (Helen) Goettle, 72, Blaisdell, who died Thursday in a Stanley hospital.
Rev. Hugh McGovern officiated. Burial in St. Margaret's Cemetery, Blaisdell.
Pallbearers were Terry Stave, Thomas Stave, Eugene Bieri, Laverne Neether, Alan Johnson and Kenneth Mader, Jr.
Mrs. Goettle was born Aug. 6, 1898, in Aberdeen, S.D., to Mr. and Mrs. Jacob Mader. She was reared in Blaisdell. On March 2, 1916, she married Joe Goettle at Stanley.
She was a member of the St. Margaret's Catholic Church Altar Society in Blaisdell and a charter member of that church.
Surviving are her husband of Stanley; two daughters, Mrs. Trygve (Lavina) Stave, Berthold, and Mrs. Alan (Rosemarie)Bieri, Blaisdell; three sons, Raymond of Burlington,
Herbert of Livingston, Mont., and Robert with the armed forces in Frankfurt, Germany; two sisters, Mrs. Dave Neether, Stanley, and Mrs. Lucy Johnson, Kenmare; six brothers, George, William, Harry and Benjamin Mader,
all of Great Falls, Mont., Bernard Mader, Chester, Mont., and Kenneth Mader, Lostwood; and 11 grandchildren.
