The tragic death of Nancy Elizabeth "Bessie" Henke & infant daughter Mamie Henke as told in the Newspaper The Inola Register, Vol 8, number 22, Ed. 1 Thursday January 8th 1914 page 6 of 9)
Mrs. Henke and her infant baby, Mamie Henke, were burned to death five miles west of Inola last Sunday. It happened this way:
Mrs. Henke was kindling a fire with crude oil, when a five gallon can containing this oil exploded, igniting the clothes of both mother and baby. This happened around noon, and the baby only lived a short time afterwards. Nancy lived until midnight. After the baby passed away, Nancy, knowing her death was imminent, said that she was ready to go at any time to meet her dear little one in the home provided by their Lord & Savior. Nancy was the daughter of Charles Mason Spurlock & Mary Shelton Spurlock, and the wife of Ludwig "Lee" Henke.

Buried with her infant. Wife of T.W. Henke. Looks to me like the T. of the husband's name was changed to an L. It doesn't look exactly like either letter.
