Henry passed away on 13 Aug 1865 and is buried in the new Beth Emeth Cemetery. Mary is found living with her daughter, Sarah Aaron, on the 1870 census in Columbus, Franklin County, Ohio. In 1875 she was listed in a city directory for Lexington, Kentucky.
On the 1880 census, Mary was living with her son, Joseph, in Mt. Sterling, Montgomery County, Kentucky. Her daughter Susan was also living with them. This is the last census that Mary was found on. She was found in the Lexington City directory shortly after that.
She died on the 4th of October 1886 in Richmond, Mason, Kentucky. I found Mary Bendel buried in the Jewish section of Lexington Cemetery in Lexington, Kentucky in S:E1 L: 23 Gr: 21.
