On November 22, 2005 our beloved father, son, brother, nephew, cousin and friend Derek Gordon departed this life. He was surrounded and supported in a circle of Love by his family when he smiled radiantly and his spirit lifted to heaven.
Derek was born May 22nd, 1972, in Moorhead, MN. He remained there and graduated from Moorhead High School in 1990. He obtained two degrees in airplane maintenance and welding. He worked for Case for a number of years before moving to the Minneapolis area where he worked for the Ford Motor Co., St. Paul assembly plant. He returned to Fargo and worked as a welder at Red River Manufacturing.
Derek is survived by his daughter Lexi, Albert Lea, MN; parents Diane & Jim Lambert, West Fargo, ND, and Steve & Susan Gordon, Lindstrom, MN; his brother Justin Moen, Moorhead, MN; sisters Rebecca, Duluth, MN and Rachel Gordon, Eau Claire, WI; grandmother Eileen Etterman, Moorhead, MN; grandfather Howard Gordon, Fargo, ND; step-sister, Cindi Carter, Flagstaff, AZ; step-brother, Jeff Lambert, Las Vegas, NV. Derek was preceded in death by his grandfather Richard Etterman, Moorhead, MN, and his grandmother, Donna Gordon, Fargo, ND.
The celebration of Derek's life will be held at Trinity Lutheran Church in Moorhead, MN, at 10:30 am. Friday, November 25th, 2005.
