Golden Man Dies in West Jacob Strickler Dies in Colorado
Golden Illinois, April 9 -- The death of Jacob L. Strickler aged 77 years, occurred at Denver,
Saturday morning at the residence of his daughter Deceased had been in poor health for a year or two, and had spent a portion of his time with his two sons in Topeka, Kansas.
Mr. Strickler was a native of Pennsylvania, and with his parents, emigrated to Illinois in 1855, settling in Houston Township, where he resided until a few years ago, when he sold his farm, and afterward made his home with his children, part of the time in Kansas, and part in this state.
The funeral and burial will be today at York Neck Church and Cemetery. Funeral sermon will be preached by Rev. F. W. Hoover of Denver, and burial services will be conducted by La Prairie Lodge of Free Masons of Golden, of which deceased was an old and respected member.
