Bradley "Brad" Potter, age 48, of Reading, died Sunday, July 31, 2011, at home. A celebration of life service will be held Thursday, August 4, 2011, at 10:00 A.M., at the Brown-Bennett-Alexander Funeral Home.
Pastor Rick Smith will officiate. He has been cremated. Inurnment will follow in Prairie Grove Cemetery west of Cottonwood Falls.
The son of William Harold and Cecile B. Graham Potter, Jr., was born July 18, 1963, in Emporia, Kansas. He was a truck driver/mechanic most of his life. He enjoyed fishing, hunting deer, and observing/driving car races.
He is survived by his mother, Cecile, of Emporia, KS.; two brothers: William Potter of Fulton, MO. and Brian Potter of Reading, KS.; a sister, Julie Potter, of Emporia, KS.; seven nephews, two nieces; and numerous great nephews and nieces. He was preceded in death by his father June 17, 2003; paternal grandparents: William H. Potter and Katherine Potter; and maternal grandparents: .
The family will meet friends Wednesday, August 3, 2011, from 6:00 until 7:30 P.M., at the funeral home. Friends may come by to sign the book Wednesday, 10:00 A.M. until 8:00 P.M., at the funeral home. Memorial contributions to the American Cancer Society and Hand in Hand Hospice may be sent in care of the funeral home, 201 Cherry, Cottonwood Falls, KS. 66845.
