Jacob B. Clapsaddle died at his residence, near Lemaster, on Monday evening, the 15th inst., aged 53 years and 7 days. Mr. Clapsaddle had been in declining health for the last six or eight years, on account of heart disease, and while he was unable to do any work, was about and managed the affairs on the farm. The immediate cause of his death was inflammation of the brain.

Mr. Clapsaddle was tenant on the farm of George Etter. He was a good farmer and highly esteemed as a citizen. He was a devoted member of the Lutheran church and one of its office bearers. His death, following soon after the demise of his son, J. Rush, which occurred on the 27th of May, was a sore affliction to his family and friends. Besides his wife, he is survived by five children, Luther, John, Bert and Ada, at home, and Wm. Clapsaddle, who is an assistant on the farm of Henry Etter, Esq.; also three sisters - Mrs. D. F. Haulman, Mrs. Geo. W. Etter, and Mrs. John Stoner, and two brothers, Geo. and John Clapsaddle. The funeral took place on Wednesday, the 17th inst. Interment at Etter's graveyard.
