Barbara Jo Ann Adkins, daughter of Howard and Opal(Mateer)Beach was born on April 19, 1930 in Barnes City. She graduated from Barnes City High School in 1948. On September 24, 1948, she was united in marriage to Arnold Adkins in New Sharon. To this union one daughter was born, Mary. Barbara was a homemaker and devoted her life to her family. She loved visitiing her family and spending time with her grandchildren. Barbara also enjoyed Bingo, Canasta, her cats, nursing home crafts and folding towels at the nursing home.
She is survived by her daughter, Mary(Brad)Crosby of New Sharon; three grandchildren, Steven(Meagan)Crosby of New Sharon, Ashley Crosby of New Sharon and Alicia Crosby of New Sharon; a brother, Claire(JoAnn)Beach of Nebraska; a sister, Betty(Paul)Rotenberry and a sister-in-law, Orbelle Beach of Florida.
Barbara was preceded in death by her parents; her husband, Arnold Adkins and a brother, Kenneth Beach.
