Katherine Gilmour Myrick was the daughter of John Gilmour and Ann Goldie of Stevenston in Ayrshire, Scotland. She immigrated to the United States in 1883 and married John Myrick in Clay county, IN on 10 Feb 1898.

The funeral for Mrs. Kathryn Myrick, who died in Los Angeles Wednesday, will be held at Rollie Mortuary Chapel at 3 p.m. Monday. Mrs. Myrick, a resident of McKinley county for 50 years, had been seriously ill since February. A son, Ralph, of Richland, Wash., who spent two weeks with his mother recently, will be unable to attend the services.
The Christian Science church will conduct the services at the chapel and the Rev. (illegible) will give the prayer at the cemetery. Rebekah lodge will conduct graveside services.
