Ethel Loretta Coleman Coles, 92, of Rigby, died January 26, 2010, at her home.

She was born August 29, 1917, in Rigby, to John Wesley Coleman and Olive Mary Leah Price. On April 30, 1938, she married Robert Kenneth Coles, in Rigby, Idaho. Their marriage was later solemnized in the Idaho Falls LDS Temple. She was raised and attended schools in Milo and Ucon. She, along with her husband and family, farmed in the Milo area throughout her married life.

She was a member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints. She served in the primary, was Relief Society Secretary and visiting teacher. She enjoyed cooking and loved animals. She especially loved spending time with her family.

She is survived by her daughters; Nona (Ronald) Lees, Udawna (Duane) Hammon, both of Rigby, sons; Victor (Sharry) Coles, of Idaho City, Idaho, Darrel (Laraine) Coles, of Rigby, a sister, Doris Horlacher, of Provo, Utah, 19 grandchildren, 48 great-grandchildren, and 9 great-great grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her parents, husband, 3 sisters, 6 brothers, and 2 grandchildren.

Funeral services will be held at 1:00 p.m., Friday, January 29, 2010, at the Milo LDS Chapel, with Bishop Bryan Cook, conducting. The family will receive friends from 11:30 a.m. to 12:30 p.m., prior to services at the church. Burial will be in the Ririe-Shelton Cemetery, under the care of Eckersell Memorial Chapel in Rigby.
