He was wounded on the right arm on June 27, 1778 which prevented him from taking part in the Battle of Monmouth.
The Powder Horn used by him in the Revolution was in the possession of his Great Grandson the Rev. William H. Woolverton of Stockton in 1932. Its whereabouts today (2008) are unknown.
