Her brow was wrinkled, her hair was gray,
and she worked hard, every day.
Going about her chores, humming a tune,
in cold December, or sunny June.
She raised eight children with great pride,
taking the ups and downs in her stride.
With all the hard work, and never a complaint,
truly she was close to a saint.
When I look back on the years of her toil and love,
I know she is still watching over us from above.
This remarkable woman, who was like no other,
a wonderful person, and she was my mother.
