Mrs McAlpine died October 5, 1941 at the home of her daughter Mrs. O D. Collette in Piedmont. W.Va. after an illness of several weeks. She was the widow of David McAlpine and had resided on East Main Stree since the death of her husband 42 years ago. She was a member of the Presbyterian church and the Martha Washington Chapter, Order of Eastern Star.
Surviving are three daughters. Mrs Bonner Hardegan and Mrs O. D. Collette of Piedmont and Mrs William Duckworth, Church Street this place. She leaves seven grandshildren and three great-grandchildren.
the body will remain at the home of Mrs. Hardegan until noon Tuesday when it will be brought to the Presbyterian Church, Lonaconing, Where it will remain until the time of the funeral
