Ollie Dona Cox was born on March 11, 1928 in Sterling, Oklahoma. She went home to be with Jesus on July 24, 2011.

She was devoted completely to her family. Ollie came to Merced with her husband Melvin and her children Barbara and Donald in 1947. Ollie was a member of the Gospel Defenders Church in Chowchilla, where she taught Sunday School for many years. She also was a member of The First Assembly of God in Merced. She was a retired baker and cannery worker. She was such a hard worker. She is survived by her loving family and many friends. Many days you would find Ollie in her kitchen making light bread and pies with her grandchildren and great grandchildren. She truly was our angel in disguise. She had such a kind heart and giving spirit. She was loved by all. This is not a sorrowful time for our family. This is a time for rejoicing. We know she is together with her son, husband and other loved ones gazing upon the face of Jesus, her and our precious savior.

Visitation will be held at Calvary Assembly of God at 1021 R Street in Merced, CA on Aug. 3, 2011 from 9:00 A.M. to 11:00 A.M. Funeral Services at 11:00 A.M. to 12:00 P.M. Burial will follow at Merced District Cemetery. Reception afterwards at Calvary Assembly of God.
