Born in Burgin, Kentucky on March 28, 1931, he was very proud to later become an Honorary Kentucky Colonel. He started a career in drapery installation in 1955 for several of Tallahassee's finest stores. After 30 years of installing draperies, he retired to continue pursuing his longtime love of coin collecting. He was a life member of the American Numismatic Association, the Georgia Numismatic Association, and former President of the Florida United Numismatists. He proudly served his country for 22 years in the National Guard. In work and in service, he never met a stranger and was always ready with a joke and a smile.
He is survived by his wife of 55 years, Frances Green Price; his sister Margaret Price West; his two children, Charles D. "Bert" Price, Jr.(Amy); and Debra Price "Debbie" Wright(Bryan); and four grandchildren, Shawn; Krista; Danielle; and Charles III.
