He was preceded in death by his wife Barbara Farley (Stanfield), a 1967 graduate of DCHS, his son Gregory Farley, his parents: Hank and Lena Farley, his oldest brother Frank.
Survivors include Daughter: Melissa Farley (a 1995 graduate of DCHS and currently a substitute-teacher in Decatur Township), son-In-law: Jason Loudenback, granddaughter: Shelby Gosser (going into 3rd grade at Valley Mills), grandson: Jacob Wade Jackson (going into 1st grade at Valley Mills), brothers: Ronald, Robert and Jim, and sister: Phyllis.
He was a member of the Lynhurst Masonic Lodge and a Veteran of the US Army. He retired as a civilian from Fort Benjamin Harrison Accounting Department as a computer programmer when he was 52.
He only has one child living and no burial insurance. So, the family is asking for donations to his estate for funeral expenses and to try to keep their family home in lieu of flowers.
Visitation will be from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. Tuesday August 2, 2011 at Conkle Funeral Home Speedway Chapel with a graveside service at 1:30 p.m. Tuesday at Lincoln Memory Gardens Cemetery.
