Maxine Anderson, age 82, of Harrison, passed away on Saturday, July 30, 2011, at the North Arkansas Regional Medical Center in Harrison. She was born on March 14, 1929, in Everton, Arkansas, the daughter of Thurman and Clara (Williams) Young. Mrs. Anderson was preceded in death by her parents; her husband, J. R. Anderson; her three brothers, Jewel Young, Jerel Yong and Herman Young; and her two sisters, Mary Jo Murray and Pauline Anderson.

Maxine was a member of Union Baptist Church for thirty three years. She was a medication nurse for twenty one years and nineteen years as a central supply technician at North Arkansas Regional Medical Center having retired after forty eight years. She also filled other positions at the hospital where needed. After retirement, she joined the North Arkansas Regional Medical Center's Auxiliary. She was also a private duty sitter until 2009, which was a great reward to her to help people. She had been married to the late J. R. Anderson for thirty one years.

Maxine is survived by her son and daughter-in-law, Rick and Sandy Anderson, of Harrison; her brother and sister-in-law, Leon and Betty Young, of Harrison; her grandsons, Trigg Anderson and Trey Anderson; several nieces and nephews; and many dear friends.

Visitation is 6:00 to 8:00 PM, Wednesday, August 3, 2011, at Roller-Christeson Funeral Home.

Funeral service is 10:00 AM, Thursday, August 4, 2011, at Roller-Christeson Funeral Home, with Rev. Leon Sikes and Bro. Robert Shaddox officiating.

Interment is in Anderson Flat Cemetery.

Pallbearers are Trigg Anderson, Trey Anderson, Granvel Murray, Randy Anderson, Paul Young, Mike Ragland, Larry Graddy, Richard Taylor and Ishmal Cone.

Hononary pallbearers are the North Arkansas Regional Medical Center's employees, the North Arkansas Regional Medical Center's Auxiliary volunteers; Dr. Collins, the Rally Hill Friendship Club and Maxine's Union Baptist Church family.
