Nezzie Perry Haste, 89, of Elizabeth City, died Sunday morning, May 8, 2005 in Carolina House of Elizabeth City.
A native of Bertie County, she was the widow of Thomas Erie Haste Sr., and the daughter of the late Thomas and Lula Morris Perry. Mrs. Haste was a homemaker and a member of the First Baptist Church in Elizabeth City.
Survivors include two daughters, Chrystal Towe, and husband, Clifford P., of Hertford, and Faye Lewis, and husband, Stanley P., of Williamsburg, Va.; one son, T. Erie Haste Jr., and wife Suzanna, of Hertford; one sister-in-law, Bessie H. McKee, and husband, Paul, of Raleigh; 11 grandchildren and 11 great-grandchildren.
Funeral services will be held Tuesday at 11 a.m. in Swindell Funeral Chapel. Burial will follow in Cedar Wood Cemetery.
The family will receive friends Monday evening from 7 to 9 p.m. at the home of T. Erie Haste and wife, Suzanna, 200 Grub St., Hertford.
Swindell Funeral and Cremation Services is serving the Haste family.
