William 'Bill' McDowra, 88, of Pattonville, died at McCuistion Hospital on Tuesday.
Services at 11:00 a.m. at Grant Funeral Home with Haskell England.
Born in Pattonville, son of Robert Lee McDowra and Nancy Ladell Sams, he married Ruby Lee McMinn in Pattonville. He was a retired oil field worker and farmer. He had lived in Pattonville from 1946 until 1989 when he entered a nursing home. He was a member of Pattonville Church of Christ.
He was preceded in death by a son, Burl McDowra.
Surviving are his wife; a son, Marlin McDowra of Paris; 4 daughters, Betty Bell of Levelland, Jimmie Goodson of Paris, Doris Young of Paris and LaFawn Young of Levelland; a sister, Novella Teems of Deer Park; 16 grandchildren; 31 great-grandchildren and one great-great-granddaughter.
