Mrs. Ivyl L. Knapp

Mrs. Ivyl L. Knapp, 72, of Akron and formerly of Westfield, died Friday (Oct. 3, 1986) in a Sioux City hospital after a brief illness.

Services were held at 1:30 p.m. Monday at Westfield Congregational church. The Rev. Norman A. McCallum officiated. Burial was in Riverside cemetery at Akron, under the direction of the Schroeder funeral home of Akron. Visitation was held from 10 a.m. to 8 p.m. Sunday at the funeral home. "The Lord's Prayer" and "Unto The Hills" were sung by soloist Shirley Banks, accompanied by pianist Sheryl Banks.

Pallbearers were Eric Banks, Timm Banks, Kirk Banks, Marc Thorson, Craig Boetger and David Lilly, Jr. Mrs. Knapp, the former Eva Ruth Bliss, was born Dec. 6, 1913, in Westfield. She married Wayne Lilly June 9, 1934. Mr. Lilly died in February of 1953. She married Ivyl L. Knapp Dec. 28, 1955, in Westfield. He died in January of 1976. She lived in the Westfield area her entire lifetime until moving to Akron in 1977. She was a member of the Westfield Congregational church and Ladies Aid, Westfield-Akron Ladies Birthday club, and the Widow to Widow club of Akron.

Survivors include one son, Randall Lilly of Council Bluffs; two stepdaughters, Mrs. Les (Lee) Cronwell Jr. of Fort Collins, Colo., and Mrs. Joe (Ann) Montelone of Roseville, Mich.; one step-son, Dr. Barry Knapp of Westfield; one sister, Mrs. A.W. (Opal) Hummel of Akron; 16 grandchildren and six great-grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her husbands, Wayne and Ivyl; a daughter, Addie Jane Maynard; and a brother, Roy Bliss.
