Ball Ground resident Rebecca Anne Atchley Bennett Hulsey, 74, of Ball Ground, has been called home to join our Lord and savior on Tuesday, June 1, 2010. Funeral services are scheduled for 2:00 p.m. Saturday, June 5, 2010 at the Ball Ground First Baptist Church with Rev. James Blalock and Rev. Richard Poe officiating. Interment will follow in the church cemetery. Visitation will be held on Thursday from 12-10 p.m. and all day on Friday at the funeral home.

Mrs. Hulsey, formerly of Alabama, was past Worthy Matron of Ball Ground Eastern Star and a member of Cherokettes of Georgia. She enjoyed spending time sewing, playing cards with friends and family, as well as attending Masonic and Shriner events. Guiding her on this journey were her guardian angels, her daughters, Jeanie Miller and Delores Bennett, granddaughter, Amanda Owens, mother, Lucy Stone Atchley, and sister, Marie Floyd.

Mrs. Hulsey, known as granny Anne, is survived by her beloved husband, Rayburn Hulsey; children, Dwaine Bennett of Arab, Alabama, Valerie Hayes of Cartersville, Kimberly Cox of Ball Ground and Emmett Bennett, Jr. of Canton; sister, Bonnie Fisher of Virginia; brother, Melvin Atchley of Alabama; 12 grandchildren, 13 great grandchildren and special friends Janice and Carl Popham of Ball Ground.
