Drucilla was the daughter of Lewis and Clarinda Johnson Holcomb. Lewis and Clarinda were married 11 May 1808 in Surry County NC. Lewis Holcomb's father was Lawrence Holcomb was born 1741 in King & Queen, Virginia and died 1827 in Surry Co. NC. He married Priscilla Halcombe.

On January 28, 1827, Drucilla married Thomas J. Foster and they moved to Marion County, Alabama where they had their first two children: M. Barry Anderson Foster (Nov. 25, 1827 - Apr. 4, 1887) and Green Faro Foster. Green was born March 24, 1830, and fought in the War Between the States. He died in a hospital in New Orleans from wounds he received in the Battle Of Shiloh. After Green was born, T.J. and Drucilla moved across the state line to Monroe County, Mississippi, where they had four more children: Joel Lewis Foster (Oct. 11, 1832 - Apr. 26, 1905), Mary Jane Foster (b. 1834, died Grapevine, Texas). They moved to Texas for a short time around 1834 and then back to Mississippi around 1835. Hilda Isabelle Foster (b. 1836, d. Feb. 5, 1886), and Robert Ethelbert Foster (1839 - 1839) were born in Marion County, Mississippi. Soon afterward Robert's birth, the family moved to Texas, arriving in December of 1841. T.J. and Drucilla had their seventh child, Lucratus Hodges Foster (born near Boston, Bowie, Texas on Aug. 1, 1842 - died May 29, 1903), who later became a Baptist minister. Drucilla died 12 days after Lucratus' birth. Drucilla is believed to be buried in Holcomb Bluff, near Linden, Texas.
