Ben Tillman Huiet, Jr., age 90, of Sandy Springs, passed away September 10, 2010.

Mr. Huiet was born in Atlanta to the late Ben and Edythe Huiet on August 30, 1920. He was graduate of Tech High School, The University of Georgia and Atlanta Law School.

Mr. Huiet joined the U. S/ Army in 1936 and served in the U.S. Navy during WWII. He was a member of Sigma Nu Fraternity, Alpha Kappa Psi Fraternity, Sandy Springs Masonic Lodge, Scottish Rite Ben Hill Lodge and frequently visited many local lodges; including the College Park-East Point Lodge. Ben attended a weekly lunch for The Georgia Bulldog Club and was an active real estate broker for many years. He was proud of his father, Ben T. Huiet, Sr., who held elected state office for over forty years.

He was preceded in death by his wife, Fay Huiet. Survivors include his son, Ben Huiet, III. and wife, Mary of Tyron, GA; grandson, Joseph Calib Huiet and wife, Michelle of Norfolk, VA; great-grandson, Jacob Ashton Huiet of Norfolk, VA.

The funeral service will be held 2:00 PM, Monday, September 13, 2010 at Patterson's Arlington Chapel. Interment will follow in Westview Cemetery; with family members serving as Pallbearers. The family will receive friends from 11:00AM until service time on Monday at H. M. Patterson and Son Arlington Chapel, 173 Allen Rd NE, Sandy Springs, GA 30328. Arrangements by H.M. Patterson & Son Arlington Chapel.
