Funeral services for Betty Burke 83 of Elkhart, will be held 10:00 AM Thursday August 4th, at Bailey & Foster Chapel Palestine, with Bro. Vernon King and Bro. Dennis Morgan officiating.
Burial will follow in Pilgrim Cemetery. Arrangements are under the direction of Bailey & Foster. Mrs. Burke passed away Sunday at the David E. Foster Hospice Unit/PRMC.
She was born July 23, 1928 in Grapeland, to William Peyton Gammage and Erie Bridges Gammage.
She was a homemaker and a member of Tabernacle Baptist Church. Mrs. Burke was preceded in death by her parents.
She is survived by her husband of 65 years Weldon Burke, daughters Judy Reynolds and Jerry Taylor and Vicki Stanfield and husband Tommy, sister Jonnie Coleman, grandchildren J'Ann & Michael Cooper and Matt and Carly Reynolds, great grandchildren Noah, Aven and Mason.
Pallbearers will be Matt Reynolds, Michael Cooper, Tommy Stanfield, Don Burke, David Burke, Ronald Burke, Jerry Taylor and Noah Alexander.
Condolence calls will be received from 5:00 to 7:00 PM Wednesday at Bailey & Foster Palestine.
