Mr. Peter Leasure died at his home on Richard street on December 30, death being due to heart trouble. He was born February 14, 1874, near Buffalo Mills, Pa., the son of John and Rosana Leasure. On May 6, 1883, he was married to Ellen Thomas, who survives together with the following children:two daughters, Lena and Agnes, at home, and four sons, Dennis, of Akron, Ohio; Henry, of Altoona; Ambrose and Thomas, at home. Two brothers, John and Alexander Leasure and two sisters, Anna Leasure and Mrs. Henry Mills, are all deceased. He was the last one of his generation of the Leasure family. Funeral services were conducted at St. Thomas Catholic Church on January 3, 1927, at 9:00 a.m. by Father C. L. McKinney. Interment was made in the Catholic cemetery, west of town. Mr. Leasure was employed by the Adams Express Company for 53 years. He retired from the service about three years ago. (Source: Bedford Gazette, January 7, 1927)
