Rebecca J. (Schnitzler) Hauser was born on Monday; May 14, 1962 in La Crosse; La Crosse County, Wisconsin. She was the daughter of Donald and Carol Jean Bauer Schnitzler. She grew up in Burr Oak; Winneshiek County, Iowa and graduated from North Winneshiek High School in 1980. She attended Iowa State University for a year. On Saturday; July 17, 1982 she married Daniel Hauser in Burr Oak. They farmed near Union. She also operated a day care in her home. She was a member of the Twins Club and was a past secretary. She was a former member of the Burr Oak Lutheran Church and a current member of the Whitten Community Church, where she taught Sunday School. She was honored by the State of Iowa for volunteer work through Mid~Iowa Community Action. Rebecca J. Hauser, 32, of rural Union, passed away on Wednesday; October 5, 1994 near Liscomb; Marshall County, Iowa. Those left to mourn her passing are her loving husband, Daniel. Two sons, Joshua and Kyle. Twin daughters, Marcie and Megan. A brother, Randy Schnitzler of Decorah; Winneshiek County, Iowa. Her parents; Donald and Carol Schnitzler of Decorah. She was preceded in death by her grandparents. May they rest in peace. Friends may call at the Biersborn Funeral Home from 1:00 p.m. until 9:00 p.m. on Sunday; October 9, 1994 where the family will receive friends from 5:00 p.m. until 7:00 p.m. Funeral services will be on Monday; October 10, 1994 at 1:30 p.m. at the BCLUW Middle School gymnasium in Union; Hardin County, Iowa. The Rev. Charles Fry will officiate. Following services, Mrs. Hauser will be laid to rest in The Hauser Cemetery located in Whitten; Hardin County, Iowa.
