Emily E. Woodley, who died at her old home, 30 North Fiftieth street, on Friday, will be buried Tuesday afternoon in Fernwood Cemetery, Mrs. Woodley was the last of thirty-five patriotic Philadelphia women who sacrificed everything at the outbreak of the Civil War by offering themselves to their country as nurses or in whatever capacity they could be utilized by volunteering directly to the United States Government and enlisting as common soldiers."
