Ella K. Achter, 81, Wahpeton, died Saturday, May 11, at St. Francis Home, Breckenridge.
Ella (Kathryn) Achter was born Aug. 24, 1903 at Great Bend to Phillip and Christina (Hermes) Achter. She moved to Wahpeton with her parents when she was 4 years old. She attended St. John's Parochial School. She began work at the Globe Gazette Printing Co., when she was 15, and she retired after 46 years with the company as a book binder.
She was a member of the St. John's Catholic Church and the Catholic Order of Foresters.
She is survived by three brothers and two sisters: Joseph, Helena, Mont.; Clarence and Raymond of Wahpeton; Leona Rubish, Fairmount; and Lucylle Sturdevant, Wahpeton.
