(special thanks to Terry Smith for the following info) Corp. James Hearn is my g-g-grandfather. The story of his capture and imprisonment, and subsequent interment, at Camp Chase was passed down through the family and told to me by my grandmother. James' daughter Frances Posie Hearn married George W. Garrett. George was the son of Samuel Garrett who was in Ferrell's Battery alongside James. Posie and George had a son, Thomas J. Garrett and his daughter was Frances Eudora Garrett Smith, my grandmother.
