04 Oct 2001, The Des Moines Register, Des Moines, Iowa:
Ted Doran, 92, of ALoha, Ore., died Sunday at home. Services will be at 10:30 Saturday at Stark-Welin Chapel in Boone, with burial at Linwood Park Cemetery there.
Mr. Doran was born near Beaver had lived in Boone most of his life before moving to Oregon. He was a retired attorney and was elected to the Order of the Coif by Drake University. He was a member of Beaver United Methodist Church. Iowa State Bar Association, and Boone Elk's Lodge.
He is survived by two daughters, Patricia Lafferty and Theo Doran, both of Aloha; a sister, Olive Marie Espe of Independence; four grandchildren; seven great-grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his wife Bonita.
