He was born November 1, 1922 in Mexico, son of Jose and Eustacia Rodriguez. A resident of Corona for 87 years, Charles worked as a heavy equipment operator for 3m for 38 years. He proudly served in the U.S. Army during WWII and was a member of the American Legion, post 216 for 26 years.
Charles is suvived by: Son, Charles Anthony "Chuck" Rodriguez; Daughters, Susan Marie Cortez and Rae Reed; Brothers, Santiago Rodriguez, Mingo Rodriguez, and Tony Rodriguez; Sister, Lena Heredia; 10 Grandchildren; and 16 Great-Grandchildren. Charles was preceded in death by Wife, Connie Rodriguez; and Son, Gerald Thomas Rodriguez.
A visitation will be held on Tuesday, August 2, 2011 between 4:00 - 8:00 P.M. with a Rosary at 6:00 P.M. at Thomas Miller Mortuary in Corona. Services will be held at St. Edward Catholic Church, Wednesday, August 3, 2011 at 10:00 A.M. with Father Jose Varela officiating. Interment will follow in the Riverside National Cemetery at 12:15 P.M. in Riverside, CA. A reception will be held following the burial at the American Legion Hall, post 328, 3888 Hamner Ave. Norco, CA. 92860.
