Montgomery Sentinel - November 1946
John Wilson Williams died November 24 at the Frederick City Hospital after an illiness of a few weeks. Mr. Williams was a native of Boyds, the son of the late James E. and Sarah Jane Burdette Williams and was employed as agent for the B. and O. there for several years. He was a member of the House of Delegates from Montgomery county in 1904 and an employee of the Immigration Department under the late Secretary Doaks, having made his home in New York City for the past twenty years. He is survived by a daughter, Mrs. Vivian Williams Groomes of Washington; two brothers, James R. Williams of Silver Spring; William McKendree Williams of Boyds, and a sister Mrs. Lula Williams Dutrow, also Boyds, with whom he had made his home for the past six months. The funeral was conducted by Rev. James P. Kerr in the Boyds church and burial was in the church cemetery.
