It will be her grandchildren, Chase and Parker Holt, and Gavin Francom, who experience the greatest loss. For all of their lives they've known her sly humor, her immense generosity, and her great love. They've eaten her green eggs with their friends; they've cooked and baked with her; watched her make her house festive for every holiday and known the cozy warmth of her presence.

She has been the anchor for them and for their father, her son, Thomas D. Holt, Jr. She made her home and yard a refuge for all, especially for her husband, Gordon Crocker, and his son Tom Crocker, his wife, Jennifer and their children Kadin and Bryson. Her love permeated the air and her unhidden affection for everyone made being with Sandy an unbelievable comfort. Her courage in the face of her long battle with cancer is an example to all of us.Her two sisters, Ann Garrett and Carrie Nate, her brother Robert Mahoney and his boys, Matt and Ryan, will miss being showered with her thoughtfulness and her talented creations. In addition to her generosity, they will miss even more her sense of humor and the crinkle at the corners of her eyes when she was teasing them. Those who have preceded her to her glorious new home - her mother and father, Ellen and Mathew Mahoney, her husband, Thomas D. Holt, Sr., and two brothers, Clarence and Vance Garrett - are laughing now, at her incredible humor and her innocent, "who, me?" glances.

The family wishes to acknowledge the thoughtful care of Vista Care Hospice and the selfless assistance of friends from her church, George Thayn and Luann Holmes. As her primary caregiver, her husband Gordon became the steadfast rock for everyone.

Memorial services will be held at Trinity United Methodist Church, 4290 West 5250 South, Kearns, Utah, on August 6, 2011 at 11:00 a.m. A family visitation will be at 10:00 a.m. prior to the services.
Interment will be held on August 8, 2011 at Utah Veteran's Memorial Park, 17111 South Camp Williams Road, Bluffdale, UT.
