Lloyd V. ROWLAND, 74, formerly of Springfield, died Monday, November 22, 1993, at 12:30 p.m. in the Mercy Sienna Woods Nursing Home. He was born May 11, 1919, in Cutler, Ohio, the son of Chester and Gertrude (HALE) ROWLAND. Mr. ROWLAND was a retired mechanic from Hook's Auto Repair and served in the United States Army during World War II. Survivors include his wife, Marjorie E. (SOWARDS) of Vandalia; one daughter and son-in-law, Mary Ellen and Terry RAY of Arcanum; four sisters, Stella BASIN of Marietta, Ohio, Crystal ROOT and Ruth SHAW, both of Zanesville, Ohio Dorothy DANIELSON of Speedway, Indiana; one brother, Vana ROWLAND of St. Louisville, Ohio; foster-granddaughter, Kimberly LEWIS; and foster great-granddaughter, Lehia LEWIS. He was preceded in death by two brothers; and one sister. Friends may call Wednesday from 3-5 and 7-9 p.m. in the Littleton & Rue Funeral Home where services will be held Friday at 11 a.m. with Rev. Home Brooks of the South Charleston Freewill Baptist Church officiating. Interment in Zanesville Memorial Park. In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to Marjorie in Lloyd's memory.
