Louis Bergstrom, 62 years old, manager of the Alamo Dressed Beef Company, died at 4:50 o'clock Wednesday afternoon at his home, 208 King William street, after a brief illness. The funeral will be held at 5 o'clock Thursday afternoon from the home.
Mr. Bergstrom was a native of Kendall county and came to this city 52 years ago, living here continuously up to the time of his death. He organized the Alamo Dressed Beef Company in 1902. He is survived by his widow, Mrs. Josephine Bergstrom, three sons, Charles Bergstrom of Elizabeth, N.J., Arthur and Walter Bergstrom of this city; three daughters, Mrs. S. Van Wie, Mrs. Arthur Klieforth and Miss Mamie Bergstrom, all of this city; five grandchildren, a brother, Oscar Bergstrom, a prominent attorney of New York City; and a sister, Mrs. Thomas Gray of San Antonio.
The Rev. Philip Cook of St. Mark's Episcopal Church will conduct the funeral services and interment will be made in the Alamo Masonic cemetery. The honorary bearers will be J. D. Oppenheimer, Daniel Oppenheimer, F. R. Newton, Henry Halff, C. L. Meese, T. T. VanderHooven; active pall bearers, T. A. Eldridge, John Saunders, William Herpel, J. A. Lord, J. W. Kothmann and H. T. Bible.
