He was born Jan. 28, 1953, in Westfield, one of 13 children of the late Marion E. and Martha Woodard Dorman.
Bill had been employed by A & A Tires, Busty's Garage and retired from Mayflower Transport in Jamestown.
He enjoyed rides in the country, old cars and visiting with the firemen of Company 5 on Fairmount Avenue. He loved being with family and friends.
Surviving are eight children: William E. (Jean) Dorman Jr., Marion E. (Samantha) Dorman, Jason W. (Jackie) Dorman, Hope (Ken) Abby, David M. Dorman and Luke A. Dorman, all of Jamestown, and Linda (Shawn) Cosgrove and Sally (Tom) Brown, both of Minnesota; 29 grandchildren and eight great-grandchildren; eight sisters; and two brothers.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his wife, Susan Mae Boardman Dorman, whom he married Sept. 27, 1969, and who died July 21, 2008; a sister and brother-in-law, Ruth and William Porter Sr.; and an infant brother.
