Hershberger, Daniel Webster, son of Levi P. and Mary (Erb) Hershberger, was born at Burlington, Ind., Nov. 13, 1880; died at Willamette Falls Hospital, Oregon City, Ore., as the result of a broken hip earlier in the week, Dec. 27, 1968; aged 88 y. 1 m. 14 d. On Dec. 25, 1908, he was married to Rachel Burck, who died Aug. 27, 1966. Surviving are 3 children (Naomi - Mrs. Charles Bond, Gerald, and Verl) and 4 grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his 4 brothers and 3 sisters. He was a member of the Hopewell Church, Hubbard, Ore. Funeral services were held at the Ring-Cornwell Funeral Chapel, Dec. 30, with Maynard Headings, Sterling Roth, and Levi Strubhar officiating.
