The service will be held at 3PM, Tuesday, March 10, 2009 at the First Baptist Church with Dr. Michael Seabaugh, pastor of the First Baptist Church, officiating. Burial will then follow at the Odd Fellows Cemetery. Arrangements are under the direction of Trout Funeral Home & Crematory.
She was born the daughter of Donald L Gray and the Late Clara Mae Gray. Linda attended St Mary's High School, NOC and North Western, graduating with a teaching degree. She was involved in PSI, Moose, Ladies classic Bowling league and Three Sands Abate. She met her husband Stewart in 1977, they were married in 1979 in Ponca City where they raised their two sons Jason and Eric. Linda and Stewart just celebrated their 30th anniversary. Linda was a truly devoted wife and mother, she loved entertaining friends and family at their round table, always making sure everyone was well taken care of. She loved playing golf, riding the Harley and sitting by the fireplace with her husband and their golden retriever Harley. Linda was a devout OU Sooner fan; she enjoyed flying her OU flag and having friends over on game day.
She is survived by her husband Stewart of the home; two sons: Jason Cales and his wife Angie of Ponca City and Eric Cales and his wife Ashley of Ponca City; grandchildren Abigail De and soon to be grandson Hunter Craig Cales; father Don and his wife Michel Gray of Ponca City; sisters: Elaine Calahan of Newkirk, Janet McGrew of Ponca City; brothers: Donnie Gray and his wife Kathy of Vinita, Billy Gray and his wife Ginger of Shidler, Tommy Gray of Grand Lake, Bobby Gray and his wife Rhonda of Bartlesville, and Mike Gray and his wife Vicki of Ponca City; and numerous nieces and nephews.
Linda is preceded in death by her mother Clara "Kay" Gray; brother Jimmy Gray; and also her father in law Norman Coffelt.
Casketbearers for the service will be Linda's girlfriends: Cathy Tavenello, Jodie Frazier, Debbie Cain, Patty Morris, Casey Owen, and Karen Hunt.
Honorary casketbearers will be brothers and sisters, CCU girls, and the Tuesday night golf girls.
