Mrs. Schroeder was born March 11, 1921, in Manheim, the daughter of Wilhelm Faske and Bertha Behrend Faske. She married Clarence Conrad Schroeder on July 18, 1943, at Bethany Lutheran Church in Houston. He preceded her in death in 1992.
After attending business college, Mrs. Schroeder worked as a bookkeeper.
She was a charter member of Resurrection Lutheran Church in Fredericksburg.
Survivors include a grandson, Robert (Woody) Auvenshine of Lubbock.
In addition to her husband and parents, Mrs. Schroeder was preceded in death by a daughter, Annette Auvenshine; six brothers and three sisters, including Benhard Faske, George Faske, Pauline Waldrop, Henry Faske, Louise Urban, Rudolph Faske, Edward Faske, Amalia Melcher and Erich Faske.

Mrs. Schroeder was last known to be living in Fredericksburg, Indiana.
Funeral services will be held on Wednesday, July 20th, 2011 at 10:00 A. M. in the Resurrection Lutheran Church in Fredericksburg, with Pastor Willis McCall officiating. Graveside services and interment will follow in the Greenwood Cemetery in Fredericksburg. Visitation will be on Tuesday, from 5 to 7:00 P. M. in the Schaetter Funeral Home in Fredericksburg, and on Wednesday, from 9 to 10:00 A. M. in the Resurrection Lutheran Church.
Those who so desire may make memorial contributions in her memory to the Resurrection Lutheran Church, or the charity of their choice.
