MINOT -- Eleanor M. Stumpf, 71, 3005 Sixth St. S.E., Minot, formerly of Mandan, died July 19, 2005, at her home. Services will be held at 1:30 p.m. Friday, July 22, at St. Joseph's Catholic Church, Mandan. Burial will be at Mandan Union Cemetery, Mandan.
Visitation will be held from noon to 4 p.m. today at Thomas Family Funeral Home, Minot, and at 5 p.m. at St. Leo's Catholic Church. A vigil service will be held at 6 p.m. today at the St. Leo's Catholic Church.
Eleanor was born March 1, 1934, at Bismarck, the daughter of Frank and Regina (Schwartz) Ressler. She was raised at Solen and educated at Mandan.
Eleanor was united in marriage to Paul Stumpf, Nov. 27, 1951, at St. Joseph's Catholic Church, Mandan. They made their home in the Mandan area until moving to Minot in 1960. She was a loving wife, mother and grandmother throughout the years.
Eleanor was a longtime parishioner of St. Joseph's and St. Leo's Catholic Churches in Mandan and Minot.
Her loving family includes her husband of 53 years, Paul; a son and daughter-in-law, Larry and Kimberly Stumpf, Oconomowoc, Wis.; his grandsons, Joshua (Katie) Stumpf, Jakeb Stumpf and Garrett Stumpf; her sister, Rose Heinert, Bismarck; and several nieces and nephews.
Eleanor was preceded in death by her parents; two brothers; and seven sisters.
Weigel Funeral Home, Mandan, will be assisting with the service.
