JACQUELINE LEE BARTHOLOMEW, 74, of White Rock, died Thursday following a lengthy illness. She was born on May 11, 1928, in Raton. She grew up in Raton and the coal mine camps of Sugarite, Brilliant and Koehler. She graduated from Raton High School in 1945, and attended Eastern New Mexico University in Portales. She graduated from Beth-El College of Nursing and the University of Colorado, and worked as a registered nurse in Colorado, New Mexico and Washington. She married Robert Jefferson Bartholomew on July 3, 1957, in Raton. The family moved to White Rock in 1974. She was a member of the Bryce Avenue Presbyterian Church and was active in volunteer work there. She was known as 'The Calligraphy Lady' to the many children whom she taught and shared her love of calligraphy with in White Rock at the Mesa Public Library. She was preceded in death by her parents, Richard Lee Fuller and Thelma Delores (Kallman) Fuller. She is survived by her husband of 45 years, Robert J. Bartholomew Sr. of White Rock; children, Sheila K. Rumenapp and husband Hal of California, Rebecca L. Cabildo and husband Carlos of White Rock, Robert (Jeff) Bartholomew Jr. and wife Connie of Missouri, John A. Bartholomew and wife Lisa of Washington and Daniel R. Bartholomew and wife Angie of Los Alamos; eight grandchildren; brother, Gerald W. Fuller and wife Jane of Arizona; and many other relatives and friends. Funeral service will be at 2 p.m. today at the Bryce Avenue Presbyterian Church in White Rock with burial to follow at the Guaje Pines Cemetery in Los Alamos. In lieu of flowers, the family requests that donations be made to the Gideons International, 2900 Lebonen Rd., Nashville, Tenn., 37214. DeVargas Funeral Home of the Española Valley.
