SPANISH FORK -- Sarah Ann Burraston White, 87, died Friday at the home of her son, Grant White, of causes incident to age.
Born March 16, 1874 at Mona, Juab County, she was the daughter of Richard James and Emma Price Burraston. Her early years were spent in Mona, and she was educated in schools of that community.
She was married to Edward Watson White, April 10, 1897, at Goshen. Their marriage was later solemnized in the Salt Lake LDS temple. He preceded her in death in 1933.
They made their home at Goshen until 1916, at which time they moved to Spanish Fork. She was a member of the Camp Escalante of the Daughters of Utah Pioneers.
Active in LDS Church work, Mrs. White served for a number of years as a visiting teacher for the Relief Society in her ward. She also served as a member of the quilting committee. Known for her ability at handwork and sewing, she had made a number of quilts for her children and grandchildren.
She is survived by five sons, Clyde B. White, Grant W. White, Lois J. White, all of Spanish Fork; Frank P. White, Salt Lake City, and Dell B. White, Green River Wyo. Also surviving are 19 grandchildren and 30 great-grandchildren.
Funeral services will be held Tuesday at 1 p.m. in the Spanish Fork 3rd-6th LDS Ward chapel. Friends may call at the Walker Mortuary Monday between 7 and 9 p.m., or Tuesday prior to services. Burial will be in the Spanish Fork City Cemetery.
