W.H. Hughes, 75, served as justice of the peace at Stephens County, Texas for eight years before retiring in 1966. Previously, he had been a forest ranger at Tucson, Arizona for 26 years, before retiring in 1954 and moved to Breckenridge, Texas.
W.H. Hughes was a member of First Methodist Church and Morning Bible Class in Breckenridge, Texas. He was a member of the Masonic Lodge and Woodmen of the World.
Survived by his wife; two daughters - Mrs. Morris S. Wood and Mrs. Roy M Pullen; eight grandchildren; seven great-grandchildren.
