Son of John Nelson Stout and Minerva J. Kroesen Stout.

Grandson of John R. Stout and Racheal Servis Stout.

" Mitty " enlisted in the Army on May 18, 1943 and served as a Technician Fifth Grade with the 106th Evacuation Hospital Unit during World War II. He was honorably discharged from the Army on January 15, 1946.

He was a member of the Leni Lenape Lodge, the Odd Fellows, and the Columbia Volunteer Fire Company in Lambertville, New Jersey.

He played semi-pro baseball with the Top Rock Baseball Club with his brother and best friend Russell Stout and Harry Jacob Shepherd, Jr..

He was a Little League Umpire for decades in the Lambertville Little League and the crucifer of St. Anne's Episcopal Church, also for decades.

He worked for the State of New Jersey Highways and lived his entire life in Lambertville, New Jersey.

Mitty was never married.
